Home Renewables Ombudsman

The Home Renewables Ombudsman provides a free and independent dispute resolution service to customers who have installed a renewable technology or electric vehicle charge point for their home.

We handle complaints for customers of more than 4,600 home renewables installers who are members of our Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI) approved Code of Practice, the Renewable Energy Consumer Code (RECC) and the Electric Vehicle Consumer Code (EVCC).

 

We are working with our partners to extend the reach of the HRO across the breadth of the sector and we are learning from the complaints we handle to drive improvements in customer service and complaint handling in the home renewables industry.
